FishCare spreading far and wide – with help from our partners and supporters.

Since it’s inception, the FishCare programme has proudly supported by many generous entities, many of whom are in the recreational fishing industry and who share our vision of helping build a healthy and abundant fishery and marine environment. Without this generous support, FishCare would not have the reach and impact it has enjoyed so far across print and digital channels and at public events across New Zealand.

NZ Marine

NZ Marine, the organisers of the annual Auckland On Water Boat Show, have helped give the FishCare programme a big boost by donating valuable exhibitor space. This has allowed FishCare to be presented to a wide and engaged audience from the boating public in Auckland and surrounding area, many of who also love to fish. Public events such as the Auckland On Water Boat Show are invaluable for the programme as they allow us to have face to face discussion with fishers and help us effectively communicate the merits of the programme for fishers and the environment.

ITM

Without ITM, it wouldn’t have been possible to exhibit at the annual Fieldays event, one of the largest events in New Zealand. Generously inviting us to share their spacious stand at the event, FishCare was promoted to lots of farmers who also incidentally love their fishing as well.

Hutchwilco New Zealand Boatshow

The premier fishing and boating event on the calendar, the organisers of the Hutchwilco New Zealand Boatshow have donated prominent space at their event to help us get our messaging to a throng of event attendees each year at Greenlane. This has helped us in our educational efforts to raise awareness of our programme and teach fishers simple principles that can make a big difference to our fishery and marine environment. Their generosity has contributed to us reaching more than 37,000 people at events alone as of mid 2018.

NZ Fishing News – NZ Fishing Media

NZ Fishing News have been strong supporters of the FishCare programme from the beginning, engaging with the merits of the programme for fishers and the environment and reporting on topics that align with the goals of FishCare. Generously donating space in their publication and sharing on social media, NZ Fishing News have helped more fishers hear the messages of how they can reduce their impact on the environment.

NZ Bayfisher Magazine

NZ Bayfisher, a fishing enthusiast magazine based in Tauranga, have been behind the Fishcare programme with generous advertising support enabling the programme to increase its reach across the print medium. As well as prominent space in the magazine, NZ Bayfisher have helped spread the messaging on social media to their digital audience.

Fishing in Godzone Magazine

A recent publication in the fishing media landscape, Fishcare is grateful to Godzone for generous advertising support and promotion of the FishCare programme.  Sharing and pushing our messaging on social media, Godzone has been a consistent support to help us educate fishers on how they can reduce their impact on the environment.

The Outboard Boating Club (OBC)

The FishCare programme had its industry launch, May 2017, with the OBC welcoming us onto their premises as hosts for the event. Having already established the Kai Ika project in conjunction with the Papatuanuku Marae, to utilise unwanted fish heads and frames, the OBC have been supportive of FishCare messgaing in their competitions and their print publication The Outboarder.
