FishCare in the community
Exhibiting and attending events are a cornerstone of FishCare. It’s a crucial channel for us to talk to fishers about how they can reduce their impact on the marine environment.
In 2017, we communicated with in excess of 25,000 people at regional events around the upper North Island.
More than 680,000 New Zealanders fish each year and everyone has a part to play in leaving behind a positive footprint.
We have attended a wide range of events from industry shows (Auckland On water Boat Show) to fishing competitions, cultural events (Ngapuhi Festival) to public shows (Fieldays) and engaged with all kinds of kiwis who love to fish.
